Hello World!

Amelia Teagan joined this world on Monday, January 16th, 2012.  So far, she's been a pretty easy baby!  (Knock on wood!)  We came home from the hospital on Wednesday and introduced Amelia to Chloe and Sophie (our dogs).  We weren't sure how that would go, but the first thing the dogs did was try to lick Amelia to death.  They are still a little skittish around her, but are quickly becoming extremely protective.  Amelia got a bath tonight and Chloe wouldn't leave the sink until Amelia stopped screaming and I held her at Chloe's level for her to sniff and check over.  I think they will soon become best buds.

It's crazy to think that Amelia will be a week old tomorrow!  Time has flown this last week.  Lots of firsts for Tom and I, but we made it through and are enjoying ourselves.   Tom will go back to work sometime in this coming week.  It's been wonderful having him home as we've adjusted to our new normal and have gotten to know our daughter!

Amelia had her first photo shoot at 13 hours old at the hospital Tuesday morning.  We've taken some photos at home, but are trying to keep our photo-taking in check. :)  Below are some photos from Amelia's first week.  I'll try not to get too carried away...
